Charlotte CBD in the 2020 Queen City Cannabis Cup

CBD and hemp has been all over the news lately.  What is it? Is it legal?  What is it used for?   Does it get you high like “pot”, “weed”?   CBD (Cannabidiol) is a component of the hemp plant that has wellness benefits without the intoxicating effects.  The component called THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the part of the plant that is known for the psychoactive or intoxicating effects.

CBD is legal in North Carolina.   It is used for everything from pain management, anxiety, depression, inflammation, seizures, arthritis, and people are even finding amazing results when used on pets.

Lissi Media has been working with Charlotte CBD for almost a year.  The knowledge and passion the owners have for CBD is beyond impressive.  I am a firm believer and I was a skeptic,  I have watched their company take off and the are no limits to where the future of this plant will take them.  Mike, Dan, Lindsay, not to mention a plethora of amazing staff members are the best of the best in North Carolina and they are just popping up in new locations all the time. I am proud to announce that they will be in the 2020 Queen City Cannabis Cup on February 8, 2020.  The Queen City Cannabis cup is hosted by Blue Flowers CBD.   Come on out from February 8th 10am-5pm, at Norfork Hall 2905 Griffith St. Charlotte. There will be vendors, music, speakers, raffles, and drinks.  Experts will judge for the best hemp grown in the state of North Carolina. Plus Charlotte CBD will have a very new product Crowntown Cannabis.

It will be a great day to support North Carolina farmers, learn more about CBD and take away the stigmas of the plant, and just support local businesses in the community.  We all know Lissi Media is biases lie with Charlotte CBD but come out and see for yourself what it’s all about and who knows,  you may even find yourself a cure for an ailment you have been suffering from.

2020 Children’s Recovery Center Trivia Night

2020 CRC Trivia Night

Lissi Media has always been a proud supporter of the Children’s Recovery Center.  The Children’s Recovery Center is one of 822 child advocacy centers in the world.  The CRC serves the communities in Horry and Georgetown counties and is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.  They offer services at their child advocacy centers in Myrtle Beach and Georgetown with programs that provide centralized resources for children and families in crisis. The CRC provides forensic interviews, medical examinations and caring advocacy along with counseling for children suspected of having suffered abuse.  At the CRC, the child comes first.  Their counselors and therapists take every precaution to keep trauma to a minimum and avoid re-victimizing the child during the process of discovery.  Every child who enters their facility is treated with respect and compassion. From the first interview and medical exam to testifying on their behalf in court, the CRC is there to advocate for the innocent.  The Children’s Recovery Center’s mission is to provide forensic interviews, medical examinations and effective advocacy for children suspected of having suffered abuse.  They provide a valuable service to our community’s children, law enforcement, and to the families of victims.

The Children’s Recovery Center runs on grants and donations.  One of their big fundraising nights is the 6th Annual CRC Trivia Night at St Michaels Catholic Church in Garden City March 8, 2020.  See all the “know-it-alls”  of the Grand Stand and try and show each other up!  Who knows you could be the one that takes home the gold!  There will be a cash bar, an appetizer buffet along with raffle prizes, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and prizes for the winners!   Doors open at 7pm and trivia starts promptly at 8pm.  You may buy individual tickets or a whole team table of 8 players.  It will be a great night full of memorable moments.  Everyone from local television and radio personalities to local politicians and you will probably even see some of your own neighbors.  See links below for information on the event, ticket, and event sponsorship info.
